From Dubai to The Netherlands: A Week of Design and Innovation
After an amazing week in Dubai, I am back in The Netherlands, filled with inspiration and excitement. My trip to Dubai focused on designing the interior of a studio apartment for JW Real Estate in the Azizi Riviera Building! I also met up with Jeroen van Dijk of Equity Arcade. If all goes well, I will design the interior of the Al Furjan, a modern apartment complex that showcases urban living at its best.

In Dubai, I met wonderful people and had insightful conversations with developers transforming the city. These developers work on everything from large apartments to small studios, each adding to Dubai's vibrant real estate market. The urban style in Dubai deeply resonates with me as an interior designer, offering a perfect canvas for creativity.
Urban Industrial Fusion: A Design for Modern Living
A standout design trend in Dubai is Urban Industrial Fusion. This style blends raw, industrial elements with modern looks, creating spaces that are both edgy and sophisticated. Key features include exposed brick walls, metal accents, marble, and greys and earthy tones. This trend is popular in revitalized urban areas where old warehouses become stylish living and working spaces and in new builds.
For those considering a Dubai property makeover, adding elements like reclaimed wood, Edison bulbs, and industrial furniture can bring this unique style to life. It reflects Dubai's rapid urban growth and offers a chic, modern living environment.
